StoryMapper is a facilitated narrative identity tool for 1:1 SEMH support. Four structured stages. Age-appropriate prompts from KS1 to Secondary. Printable output with session history.
StoryMapper moves through four stages — each one building on the last, each designed to surface the narrative a child is carrying and help them begin to reauthor it.
StoryMapper's prompts are calibrated across five age bands — the same four-stage structure, with vocabulary, concepts, and emotional framing appropriate to each developmental stage.
At the end of each session, StoryMapper generates a printable A4 document the child can keep. Tangible, child-authored, something to return to between sessions.
StoryMapper stores session history so practitioners can track change over time — seeing how a child's narrative has shifted across multiple sessions without needing external notes.
All session data is stored locally on the device. Nothing is transmitted, stored externally, or shared. Schools with strict safeguarding IT policies can use it safely.
StoryMapper is designed to be facilitated by a teacher, SENCO, or counsellor — not completed independently by the child. The prompts guide the conversation; the adult holds the space.
